Are there lots of motorcyclists/scooters in your area Skuuter? It looks like a fabulous place to ride but I don't see any other vehicles on the road :o Thanks for the fabulous pictures; I may come back to gaze at them during winter when there is ice on the roads and I'm not getting out on my PCX.

The "Tail of the Dragon" is nearby Skuuter, which is the motorcycle haven of the region we're in. Tons and tons of bikes.

There is a cafe at the end of the Dragon, this picture shows less than half the bikes parked there on a summer day:

Crazy.

I saw that photo in your June trip report, but for some reason Skuuter's photos look like he has the place to himself ;) It really does look like a motorcyclist paradise.

There's a lot of bikes on the roads out there, but there is so much road that you're often alone for a long time, especially if you take a road off the beaten path. When I rode up there in June, there was a stretch of backroad where I didn't see anyone for almost an hour. It is really varied. :)

Yep...We can leave Home and pretty much ride endless twisty backroads all the way to the Smokies/Dragon Area with really low/no traffic and then take still another type Route back. We definetly live in the right place for Riding....and, Yes there are tons of Motorcycles, Trikes, and Scooters where I live. Not uncommon to see 100+ most any Saturday in Lynchburg.... :)
