Moving the scooter when the engine is turned off

Post by Brent »

Odd question . . . any potential damage to the engine if I coast down a hill with the engine off? There are two businesses I stop at that are about 200 feet apart from each other on a gentle hill. I coasted down last week with the engine off traveling at what I guessed was a fast walking speed. I didn't want to start the scooter just to drive 200 feet and then turn it off again! Bad idea or fine to do?!?

You'll be a little startled when you try to slow down on a decent hill... hehe
I once rolled off a steep grade keeping the engine under 9 mph so as not to engage the clutch.
It was all quiet and fun until I needed to slow down to make a 90 degree turn at the bottom oO

WARNING: WITHOUT (ENGINE BRAKING) THE PCX IS A WHOLE OTHER EXPERIENCE IF YOU HAVE TO STOP!
