Bikes in Thailand and SE Asia

Post by kramnala58 »

I have copied a number of pics that I have seen online of bikes in Thailand and other places in SE Asia. They may not be to everyone's liking, but some of us will likely enjoy some or all of them. I will try to post a new bike every few days or so. Here's the first one.

Is the center metal frame something to keep the bike from coming apart? :-\ I can't imagine being comfortable while riding with that frame right where my legs go.

Mel, that looks like a possible luggage carrier? Looks like a recycled stainless shower rod.
Bonus: Might even serve as crash bar. Does nothing for the bike looks wise (imo)

So it's been a few days, have more pics from bikes you've seen? It's cool seeing them, even if they're not to most of the people here's tastes. :P

Sorry about that, it has been pretty busy ... I don't have my laptop with me and I need it to resize the pics before posting. Hopefully I can find time to post another one in the next 24 to 48 hours.

I saw a utube video of some scooters in Japan that did all sorts of weird things, such as lower and raise, and change light colors all over. I think they take their scooters seriously.

I think I posted a pic of a bike I saw a number of months ago that had a pneumatic package hooked up to it that lifted the back end up. Yes indeed, riders in SE Asia take their scooters very seriously.

Wow, I REALLY like that orange and black one. The bigger tires and exhaust / painted cvt cover go really well on it.

It looks like both the red one and the orange one have rear disc conversions done. I'm jealous of that. :P
