Dave i have never tried the PCX on wet sand. Can you get the rear wheel spinning at all? I am guessing yes and is a ton of fun :)

The wet sand was hard at this beach actually, almost like driving on packed dirt. The fluffy sand wasn't hard though, and was scary. Wheels spinning, front wanting to droop and dump me, etc. o_O

It was fun, but I probably won't do that again.

I like these GAS savers, thinking about the 2013 150, what dealer did you get your bike from? In the Atlanta area? Satisfied with their service etc?

I bought mine from a dealer in Alpharetta. I highly recommend Mountain Motorsports in Marietta. They were my first choice, but they ran out of stock and I had to take my business elsewhere. They've taken care of warranty work and service for me, very quick, very professional.

They've recently moved, but they're still off of Highway 41, just South of White Water and the Big Chicken instead of North.

It's awesome! The protection is unparalleled. While it looks a bit silly to some, the clashing cosmetics is worth it for the added functionality.

"Bike on the Beach" is awesome! Your photo is "shore" worth enlarging and framing!! IMO 8) It would be nice as a cover photo for the forum (could something like that be done Dave?)

Something like advrider.com does?

It's possible, but I think unnecessary. I'd need a lot more awesome pictures from everyone else too, before I could set something like that up. :)

Oh, I understand now.

It might be kinda cool to have a monthly contest for the banner, I'll make a poll in General to see if anyone would be interested.

I thought I would add my 2 cents worth in this discussion and let you know that I bought my wife her new 2013 PCX150 from Mountain Motor sports in August. I have a Burgman 400 and she has no problem keeping up with me. In fact her bike is a lot quicker off of the line and turns better than mine. We are discussing getting an additional 400 for long trips but right now she is quite happy with her pcx. I updated her windscreen and have ordered a new seat from powerpcx, and have added a 'knightrider' led light to her tail end.

We spent the afternoon riding and it was another great day to do so here in Atlanta. In fact, maddiedog, we were in your neighborhood just driving around the back streets. We probably passed your house because we cut through to where WOW motorcycles is before heading up Highway 41 toward Red Top Mountain. Unfortunately we had to turn back before we made it to Red Top because of the heavy traffic. Still, it was a fun ride. We took the bikes out of the basement and have them in the carport now, even though the outlook for the next few days is rain as usual. But that is what winter is about in Atlanta, Georgia. By the way, I thought the extras you added were a nice touch but my wife loves her bike just like it is, now that I have a new seat, a Giving tail box and windscreen on it. Hopefully, she won't drop it again. : :o

We've moved a bit away from the old house, we're now over near Pope High School on the other side of 41. :)

I'm enjoying the rain for now -- at least it's warm and raining! It could be cold too.

Well, I guess we are even closer to each other than I thought. We live at Merchants Walk. We have certainly ridden in the area of Pope a few times....at least. :-)
