How to: correctly install the variator roller weights

Post by Inoplanetyanin »

Left side of the roller (that has the flat plastic edge) should touch the left side of the variator in the sliding area. Please refer to the video.

It all depends on what type of roller/slider you're putting in the bike. Many go in a certain way, not always to the left… Just check the instructions.

You are wrong the rollers that I am showing in the video should only be installed the way it's shown. I don't care about aftermarket rollers and how they should be used this is not the subject of my thread. The Only Exception is rollers that are factory installed that are symmetrical and identical on both sides. Then it doesn't matter how they're installed but if they have that flat Edge then it should touch the variator where the centrifugal force will be spplied the strongest.
