So as a few of you know I recently had a little spill.
With help from some awesome people on here I was able to order the correct parts to fix my PCX 125 (2015).

whilst waiting for the parts to be imported I've decided to fix the glove box's major problem, the lack of a lock.

Very neat job, might just add that to my list of future projects.

Thank you.
As it doesn't look out of place I've no idea why Honda never fitted one.

When I start replacing my panels I might find a cam lock that isn't too proud, as this one sticks out a little more than I would like. It doesn't cause a problem, more of a cosmetic thing.

Awesome news. I did look through the forum to see if anyone had posted any tips but thought I was just not looking deep enough.
Glad you like the mod. If I can help anyone with their own mod please contact me.

Any way this could be done with the 2013 model??

Cathy - unfortunately not. The earlier model has a different mechanism( a latch) to hold the door closed and so the inner side of the door is completely different. I've tried and measured - but could not found a solution so far.

Hey, you could do this sort of lock on any model but not the same way. The 2015 model has an internal "lip" at the lock arm caught behind. as long as the lock arm can get behind a part of the body it'll work. you maybe could cut a channel in lieu of the internal lip.

Easily solved with a dremel and a mini drum sander tool.....

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread! Because of you posting this i did the same thing today. When the dealer put my bike back together from being hit while it was at work, i couldn't use the glove compartment and when i got it open I busted the plastic tab off so it wouldn't close so this was a double win by adding security and it'll close. Thanks again!

Oh wow, I like this one. Thanks, this is a great mod!

I was genuinely concerned about people stealing my insurance cards out of the glove box, it's a common problem around here.

Looks good but think it will not work on a 2013 though. Could you list where you found the lock.
