Honda Forza 125 White Paint problems

Post by 3rddanman »

Hi Guys

First post !! I'm after some advice. I've got a strange brown coloring on the white panels on my Forza. Dealership is adamant I have used something that has caused this issue but I've only had the bike a month and have just washed it with basic car shampoo yesterday. The colouring has been there since I received the bike but only had the chance to have a good look.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards

Simon

It's prob in the paint and not your doing. But some finishing polish will tell you quickly if it's on the surface.

Can't use polish, it's a matt paint.
Similarly if the car shampoo has wax in it that could be what's causing the discolouration.

You can clearly see the gloss to the right on a USA bike here:

I know this is 4Z chat but I did something similar on a white painted rim recently. Devastating for a monk like me to have become so distracted by something on the radio or phone that I grabbed a red rag and went about the business of cleaning off exhaust soot with some over the counter chemical I don't recall. The effect was the same as I see here. if you have these shop rags laying around get rid of them... never do it!

The reversal was not that difficult as I tested a couple products I won't recommend because gasoline, acitones and sticker removers can do more harm than good if not careful.

Hi Simon

When bought mine the dealer told me that with the matt finish if the paint gets damaged its pretty much a new panel that's needed. He gave me a name of a company that can do small blemish's rspaints.co.uk I believe but i haven't googled them or anything that's all I know

My dad say more hast less speed. I guess that's true on a 125 ha ha!!!
