Thanks for the suggestion guys. I guess I should have been more specific. Just want something simple and cheap....maybe like what's in the photo I attached. Don't need the clock obviously.
I looked for clocks4bikes.com, where a number of us got clocks for our pre-led PCX's. Alas, they have closed shop and now will just be repairing crystals and changing batteries. Sad - they were a nice group.

Nice suggestion Homie but more than I want.
I have looked at Amazon but I should continue to look. Challenge - the only space that a device could fit on the handlebar is right at the center (where it could be easily read anyway) and it's not big enough for any thermometer I've seen. I'm going to search for a stick-on thermometer that could attach on the flat area above either front storage bins. Wish me luck.

Ah that's sad news about clocks4bikes I have one of their bar clocks too. Fabulous workmanship and what a nice couple. Good luck to them
Back to finding flavio a thermometer. How about this one:
And the price is far more tolerable than WN's find.
The mount is exactly like the one clocksforbikes used. The only problem I see is that Flavioguy is in Tuscon AZ - this thermo might not go up high enough.

I had one on my DR650 but it was wrong always because it was above the engine.
No ice and then you're good to go.

The one problem I have had with them has been that they face up and have the sun beating directly down on them, so I have to wonder if the temperature is correct on the thermometer or higher than it really is.

That's a good point Mel .. Placement is key to accurate reading. I would use one with a remote sensor wire placed in the front cowling somewhere.

My sensor is suspended behind the mouth above the headlight.
Out of the sun and gets ventilation to avoid heatsoak readings.

Can't you just get the temperature off your phone. Why is it so important anyway?

I will speak for myself. I like to know what the temp is in the mountains. Getting close to 32F I ride more conservatively. Can't see the black ice in the shade.

I think you guys are over thinking this. Go to a kitchen store and buy a large dial thermometer. 6 inch shaft. Zip tie to your handlebars. Done.
I have three of these, one on each bike. Whenever I go by a bank sign with the temp, it always reads within a degree or two,,,
$6 x3 = an $18 investment

Speaking of Temp? Mine rose. Dancing.
