Is there a ground connect near the fuse box?
Thanks in advance and bye, Luca.
Luca,

Yes, the Green/Black wire (part of the red-capped diagnostic plug) IS a ground wire. Just
remove that red cap and connect your grips' ground wire right there. I can't remember of
any 'metal' in the area.

Is this the red-capped diagnostic plug?

If it is, where it is in the wiring diagram?

What's its name?
Thanks and bye, Luca.

Honda calls it DLC (Data Link Connector). On the diagram, it is located right next to Fusebox 'A'.
Yes, the one with the red cap. You can discard that cap no problem and use its G/Bk as ground.

Luca,

I wish to add : make sure that G/R wire is big enough to carry the grips current, though.
IMO it should be able to handle the grips' 4 amps (but I have no exact idea on its AGW rating, so
can't take any responsability, here. 'Check if it gets hot' is my best advice.

Sorry, the ground will be the G/Bk of DLC but the 12V will be the R/Bu of ACC. Is it right?
What's the G/R wire?
Thanks and bye, Luca

Luca,

ERROR. Should be GREEN/BLACK. I was in a hurry, thinking of 'GRound'

:D :D :D
Thanks, carissimo.
Do you think that the use of DLC ground doesn't create problem to the electronic on board?
That's a simple ground or not?
Bye, Luca.

Luca,

All the Green and Green/Black wires end up bolted together to the frame, behind the right side
plastic side cover. I think they thus can all be seen as 'simple' grounds.

The G/Bk ones indeed serve as sensors' grounds. I can't see how using one as 'ordinary'
ground could disturb the electronics, since they all end up grouped together, anyway...

Personally, I would use the INPUT R/G as feed, and remove the windshield + top cover to find
a more solid ground. Not that I don't think other setups wouldn't work, but only to make sure I'm
200% covered.
