Hi,
my hands need heated grips and i mounted today the grips but the right grip was not mounted perfectly.
What do you think?
How can i solve the problem?
It's blocked in this position...

And for the cable, what is the best way?
Can i use this fuses and put a relais?

Check there aren't any wires in it and trim it?

The grip has to go further, try WD 40 with a straw pushed down between the grip and the bar. If you can't do this take the grip off and add lube. You cant leave it there if you want to replace the bar end weights. You can trim about the end 3mm.

You really need to remove the right hand grip and then remove the little plastic mouldings on the twistgrip. I have had to do this on most of the Hondas I have owned. I used a small flap wheel sander in my hobby drill to remove them. I did manage to wire up my Oxford grips direct to the battery but it is quite fiddly to route the cable to the battery.

Luca,

That fusebox's loom has a White/Green wire in it. It comes straight from the battery's main
fuse (30A). NO need to crawl back to the hidden battery for feed (if you opt for un-switched
power.

If you want switched power, that same loom has 2 Red/Green wires, one from the main Relay,
already fused at 30A (it should be the thicker one of the two, for the second one is fused
at only 5A/accessory socket). No idea why they used the same color twice.

I take this from Honda's wiring diagram.

+1 on grinding off the little plastic ridges, as Glencoeman said. They are a pain and you don't need them.

Off-topic, but where did you get that fuel door with the Honda logo? Looks like carbon fiber...totally want one.

Aguim - you can PM Luca if you go up to "Members" at upper right and search for him (search option at top right of member list, not the one at the top of the page). The ability to send a PM is in the second rightmost column. Adding your real email to a post in a forum like this is not a good idea. Between crawlers and scammers, you would definitely get mail you didn't want.

Luca cannot yet PM you (or anybody else for that matter) - he (or she - can't make assumptions on the net) has not made enough posts yet. I think the magic number is 15, but a moderator will hopefully correct me if I am mistaken.

Today i tested the 5A fuse and i discovered that it's under the key.
So I can connect directly my grips.
Now the problem is the passage of the cable to the box.
I hope to succeed it!!!

Luca,

Oxford's site says the grips draw 'less than 4 amps, so you should be OK. (I thought it was more like 100 watts/8.5 amps).

Were you aware of that accessory socket FROM THE START? (It's intended for cellulars, not really
heated stuff).

Perhaps Luka is talking about the accessory plug for the alarm. This one is under the windscreen.

The other socket permits only 1A if i recall well the socket for the phone etc i mean.

Yes, i talk about the 5A fuse called ACC relative at the accessory plug for the Original Honda Alarm or the Original Honda Heated Grips that's under the windscreen.
The fuse is on only the key is on and i'll use a 10/15A fuse for the Oxford's heated grips.
I read the instructions for the installation of Honda heated grips and Honda use the accessory plug that you told.

Hello again neighbor.
Go for it.
It's the best way to do it. The OXFORD HEATED GRIPS i have recently put on my new NC 750 have a fuse by themselves on their harness.
See some photos which might help you not on a FORZA but on an NC. Every HONDA is the same although :
The accessorie socket is at the left side of the motorcycle and looks like this

As you see it looks like yours.
Here at the middle you can see the fuse of OXFORD heated grips.
On the right side is the fuse for cree led lights i made myself and at the left side for the accessorie socket for charging phones etc :

And these are the fuse and the relai needed in the fuse box (they should be bought extra and be put in the empty spaces in the fuse box). The accessorie fuse for heated grips, cree led lights and accessorie plug socket is 7,5 A

So yours 5A is more than enough for your heated grips only.

However i am convinced to connect directly the Oxford positive (with the Oxford fuse) at the Honda 5A Accessory Socket fuse.
I'll not use relay...
The kit relay is only for NC750 and my fuses are different:

Nice photos, but Forza and NC 750 are two different beasts. No such thing as your 7.5A -fused 'alarm' socket on the Forza (only a cigarette lighter-type socket designed for very light loads, like cell charging).

Then feeding heated grips from a 5A-designed source is possible, but borderline. A better setup
would use a higher-fused wire (there is a Red/Green one jumping into my face on the Forza, already fused at 30A upstream), with an added 10A fuse a good idea (fuses never hurt, overheated smallish wiring DOES).
