Gloves & Jacket

Post by wadaguy »

Just bought a pair of gloves, jacket, & Boots...Bilt Demon Waterproof gloves, Bilt Typhoon jacket, & Arctic Shield Winter Boots. Last 2 days here in Oklahoma its been wet and hovering right around 29-30 degrees outside. My ride into work is only about 12 miles with 3 on the Interstate. All work excellent, heck I don't think its quite cold enough for the boots yet.

Sounds like a good set up for your cold weather riding. Where did you buy the boots?

I wear a two piece Aerostich Roadcrafter suit over my street clothes and Rocky insulated SWAT boots but my feet still get cold after half an hour riding in only low 50s. I also have a pair of insulated deer skin gloves from Aerostich but I have wind deflectors for my hands on my new Burgman 400.

I found the boots at Wal-Mart. $50, and definitely a good find.

I'd add a pair of froggtogg rain pants. Over your work trousers. ..they really cut down on wind and cold getting through...plus you're good if iy rains.
Not warm for miles and miles. ...but good for a limited commute.
Ride in mine over Sliders Kevlar jeans...20°F for an hour.
