Forza 300 seat mod

To gain more leg room and more sitting height I visited Tijger Leathers (The Netherlands)

First stage is the removal of the back support to gain 3cm more depth and they added 2cm firm high quality foam on the front seat, they also padded the place with foam parts where normally the back support was mounted to smooth things out, then they fixt the original upholstery with an extra piece so the seat is waterproof again and ready for some testing time.

First impression is that it feels like I have much better shocks mounted, normally when you hit a threshold or whatever your butt hits the plastic seat frame resulting in a shock in your back  the better/firmer foam really works on that area, also the leg room is clearly improved :D

Next appointment is on 1 September and then they will put an extra 2cm layer foam on the front seat and make the back of the front more rounded, and of course I get a new upholstery for the whole seat.

Did they cut away the plastic mounts that stick up like we do on the PCX?

So you are sitting on bumps that are poking you in the butt?

Haha, no look good at the picture without the back support, you can clearly see there is 3cm to gain without sitting on bumps ;)

No need for the bumps anymore. Might as well cut them off.

Don't want to see cut away's when the seat is lifted.

First time you go on the highway for a top speed test you will scoot back far enough to feel the mounts poking up.

What is it that you don't understand about this sentence ?

"they also padded the place with foam parts where normally the back support was mounted to smooth things out"

Hi there! I am a few years late, but I am having a similar job done for my Honda Forza 300. Could you share any pictures of how your Forza ended up after the mod? I suggested to cut off the sections that stick out but the guy who is working on it suggested he would cover it with foam to avoid that the area was bothering. So very similar to what you did in the end! Hopefully you still have the bike and can share. Thanks!

I too needed some extra leg room so I took apart my seat to see what could be done. I decided that cutting out "the hump" would be best. I fiber glassed in the hole I had created and had my local shop sculpt in some new foam and cover it up with a new seat skin.

Very nice. I didn't mess with the pan since I also ride with my wife, and she was not interested in me getting any of her "turf". I went back as far as the hump, but that was enough (along with some extra height/padding).

Few of these are as pretty as stock.....but then - whatever makes the owner happy. One can't see it anyway when it is being occupied.
