Fuel consumption

Post by censuwine »

At 28000 kms I took the 2012 PCX for a service and had the belt changed. I also changed rollers and air filter. Since then (now on 31000 kms), for some reason, consumption went up significantly. I used to cover 220 kms easily with a tank, at a push even 235 kms. Now the bike struggles to cover 190 kms :( . Any ideas what this can be due to? Thanks guys.

Also note that you posted in the Forza 300 section.

Were the rollers exactly the same before and after?

Thanks for the prompt feedback. I've no idea whether the parts were the same. I just ordered what the guy told me to order and had them replaced. The funny thing is that performance seems to be the same. Given that I had the belt changed, I can't help thinking that that might be the cause - perhaps it was fitted too tightly or loosely.

Re: Forza 300 - sorry for gatecrashing your area guys. I had no idea I was trespassing beyond the confines of PCXville.
