Top speed of a forza

I've recently bought a new forza. After running it in I've found my top speed to be barely 130 kph. Reading all the other reports about top speed, mine seem to be well behind. Can anyone shine some light has to why?

Find a longer road.
It takes a long while to get up to max speed.

Lol. I think the road from Korat to Pattaya is quite long.......
I do realise when A bike won't go any faster after full throttle mile after mile. The main reason for the question is, has I was looking at different Honda shop. One sales woman told me the new forza have been governed. Does anyone know this to be true?

Ah, you're in Thailand.
Atmospheric conditions might be against you.
Hot weather = less power.
Never believe salesmen. Or women.

Forza 300 top speed is determined by wind speed. Find a long road with a big tailwind and you will go faster. Hide behind the windshield to go faster. 148 kmph indicated was my fastest when new downwind. Now I barely make 130 kmph.

The suspension is too primitive to be doing this. Tires too small. And with age comes wisdom followed shortly by senility.

I have a tall windscreen and weigh about 113 kg. I find under normal conditions my Forza tops out at 130 also

Presuming you've checked the tyre pressures and that the brakes aren't binding?

The maximum speed limit is 120 kph on an expressway, so why go faster? ;)

A higher max speed is typically indicative of better acceleration up to the posted speed limit.
Without testing it with a GPS, he may only be doing 120kph and not actually even making it to 130, anyhow?

Mine sits happily on the motorway at 75/80 mph and it will do 85 mph if required.
However it is a bit susceptible to road imperfections at higher speeds, especially when crossing white lines to get back into a slower lane.
I would strongly advise not to do those speeds with a loaded top box on.
I have a 45 ltr top box and the advised speed limit is 130kph and the maximum weight of the loaded top box should not exceed 10kg.
With the top box on and at speed the front end becomes quite light, you need to be very careful when overtaking a lorry.
I often do long trips with a fully loaded top box and find it is best to keep below 70mph if you can, which sometimes I can't :o

10 kg for the top box does not sound like much. I need to weigh my groceries next time. I think that includes the 55 litre top box as well. 4 litres of milk is probably 4 kg, the case is 5 kg, so that leaves 1 kg for bananas and potato chips.

I never follow the rules anyway. Load it up.

I need to do a speed run with and without the top case. I should also do one naked.
