2014 Forza Spark Plug
Can someone please tell me the info for a replacement plug on a 2014? And what should the gap be set at? I always feel better carrying a spare.

Re: 2014 Forza Spark Plug
The plug is a LMAR8A-9 NGK
Gap is .8 -.9 mm .03 - .04
Torque is 12 lb/ft or 16 N-m
Use the tools in the tool kit. It is hard to get at with regular tools.
Access panel is on the left by your feet.
Plug last a long time at 12600 km 8000 miles, the less you change it the less chance of damage.
The dealers charge a lot of money for a plug, eBay is substantially cheaper.

Thank you!
Re: 2014 Forza Spark Plug
My Forza 300 has 31,000 miles and I believe the plug has yet to be changed.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

Yes, but my goodness - Scotsmen have a different set of monetary habits than normal folks!gn2 wrote:My Forza 300 has 31,000 miles and I believe the plug has yet to be changed.
It is a rather important bit to the engine - surely $10 is not too much each year? (might even get it back in fuel savings?)

Fuel economy is as good now as when new.
Has been serviced by me since 16000 miles, in the last 15000 miles its had oil and filter change at 24000.
And as far as the engine goes, that's it.
New plug and air filter and oil and filter waiting to go on at 32000 but don't expect the economy to change one bit.

Re: 2014 Forza Spark Plug
Honda make good engines. I just wish the rest of Forza was of similar quality.
I am off to Chilliwack to pick up brake parts. I have 34,000 km on mine now and need new rear brakes again. I am getting new pins for the calliper. A bit of grease and new pads to go a little more before the snow flies. On Sunday there was snow in the ditch at the ski resort (Apex Alpine by Penticton) the Forza was at.
The previous asian owner of my Forza crashed it at 800 km on the bike in a parking lot. ICBC wrote it off because of body panel damage. The last digits of my VIN are E5000098 made in June 2013. I think I got an early one. With practice the Thais may have made better ones later.
