Front tyre bought in error

Post by beegmouse »

So I bought a Michelin City Grip

140/70-14 when I meant to buy a 140/70-13 from oponeo

They are being gits about returning it.

it's 20mm wider than the standard front tyre, but will otherwise fit.

just wondering if anyone has any experience with oversized tyres on the front.

Or should I try and flog it to the Forza 125 people.

Are you sure it'll fit. Ones a 13inch and the others a 14?
It won't fit as the diameter is wrong.

140/70-14 fits the rear on a PCX and is a very impressive tire but requires you lift the rear fender and space off the airbox. It's too big to fit on the front, you would need the 120/70-14 for the front and that mounts with no modification to the front end at all. This set of oversized Michelin's for PC is working well for me.

If you are in the UK, fitting the wrong size tyre must be notified to your insurer.
Assuming they don't cancel your policy you may have to pay extra.

The poster displays no country of origin but writes (TYRE) so 'GN is right as usual'

So many exclusion clauses in UK INS policy's you might as well wipe your butt with your premium every month and flush it. Here in the US we get a tiny dent in an aluminum roof vent on our homes and insurance buys a new roof and all four sides of siding every few years regardless of the time or date of the storm. Contractors knock on your door and TELL YOU what date the storm was and that you can file a claim. Thus you never pay more than your deductible for outdoor remodeling and the insurance company gets such a good reputation they still make billions by sheer volume of customers. Chief say's "this is crazy town"

tip of the day... install aluminum roof vents on your home, adjusters love them, contractors keep working, home owners delighted and keeps paying premiums 8)

Going to try this at the weekend as my front is now knackered.

Homie is refering to a putting a 120mm tyre on a 90mm PCX Wheel.
I'm trying to put a 140mm Tyre on a 120mm Forza Wheel

I was just worried about rubbing on the mud guard.

It's that or I bin the tyre, selling it used wouldn't be worth the shipping.
