Valve shims size for valve adjustments?

Post by fish »

Does anyone know what size valve shims we'll need to do the valve adjustment on a 2014 Forza?
HotCams sell kits but don't know which is proper fit for out scoots. (talking about the width, etc. , not the thickness since that can't be determined until you get a feeler gauge in there)
I like to do my own valves, but have never used shims before on VWs or scoots.

Here you go....

part #(s) 16 - shim, tappet

the scenario I see is something like this:
you take it apart, check the clearance and the installed shim, then order what you need to make it right....
a kit consisting of one of each size would cost over $400 (there are 69 sizes!) :D

Exactly, that's why I'm asking about the correct type of shim. Others sell the shims, some full kits for $69.
Anyone know the size (type) which the Forza engine uses?

Shopped around - purchased a full set for $35. Not Japanese - but then nothing is anymore. Made in Taiwan - the new Japan!
Now just need a mic.
