Post by MORON »

Im am still in break-in...anyone getting or had a slight vibration starting at about 68 mph....feels like a loose belt or something of that nature...was wondering if it was part of the break-in process...

you're feeling the rollers in the variator bouncing around. its similar to a rev limiter except you can change out your variator and weights to add another 10+ mph.

Should you be doing 68 when running in?
There is a bit of a buzzing vibration at higher speed, both mine and the demonstrator I rode did it.
It was worse on the lower mileage demonstrator.
Nothing to do with the CVT, its what single cylinder engines do.

gn2, I had a pcx which of course is a single cylinder motor and never had vibration...so I'm not buying the motor as a cause...unless there is a loose motor mount or some sort of defect in the drive train...I was thinking a loose belt.

Its normal for a single cylinder engine to vibrate.
Honda have done a very good job of isolating the vibrations on the Forza, you should try a CBR250....
Without actually riding your Forza there's no way to establish if what you are experiencing is the normal slight buzzing vibration or something worse.
Take it to the dealer and get them to check it out.
The PCX has much smaller moving parts, so creates less vibration to deal with.
How many different motorcycles/scooters have you ridden over the years?

I'd take it to the dealer and see what they think.

Any updates?

I'm more than happy with mine and love the smoothness of the engine - should loosen up even more in the next 600 miles.

Mine has done about four valve thousand miles now and the slight vibration circa 68mph has definitely decreased.

Mine has nearly 6000 miles and the 70mph buzz has reduced significantly.

I am just under 600 miles and have also noticed this "buzz" type of vibration at around 67 mph. I find it to be a little erratic, but not sure if it connected to a certain rpm, or what. I know with the PCX, it had a limiter at about that speed, but do I understand that the Forza does not have a limiter? It just puts out all it can and that is it?

Thanks.

Might have confused him (he is new here) by your fuelly post in your sig & your forum user name......
