Forza at 65-70mph with 135 lbs rider

I bought a used 15 Forza a few weeks ago and due to distance and the weather have not picked it up yet. I am reading conflicting reviews on its freeway abilities. I am no speed demon on the freeway out there, trying to outrun cars on 2 wheels is not my thing. I am just trying to go probably 65-70 mph to not get run over. How is the Forza at those speeds with a 135 lb rider. I am so eager to take it home but refuse to pay outrageous delivery fees and don't want to freeze taking it home in January.

The Forza should top out over 85 mph easy with a 200 lb rider. I think your expectations are reasonable, 60-70 with throttle to spare to pass people or get out of hairy situations.

I'm 200 lbs and managed 70 mph.. I would not say this is ideal because I was going down hill and it appeared to be vibrational and loud.. Doable probable but its happiest at around 55-60 top end.

I am also 200 pounds in full gear although I should not be but that is a different long story as I eat Cheetos while typing this.

70 mph or 113 kmph is no problem for me, I can do it all day. Slower gets you better mpg but the Forza goes forever on a few dollars anyway.

My top speed is about 135 kmph or 83 mph but it takes a while to get there.

I did over 30,000 miles on mine, mostly at your target speed.
It handled it perfectly in all weathers.
Its a long number of years since I weighed 135 lbs though...

265 when I was riding my Forza on the highway. No problems and scoot seemed happy to do it.
Will be a breeze with you aboard.

The Admiral and I have gone a bit over 70 MPH on an interstate, and there was some (not much, mind you) more. We easily break 400 pounds - by how much, I'm not asking. It was not great fun, but the machine will do your job just fine, and feel pretty stable doing it.

You are probably going to want earplugs if you are going to spend that long at highway speeds. Is there any possibility of getting off the highway for some part of the trip? You will have a much greater appreciation of your new scoot by the time you get home if you spend some quality time between 45 and 60 MPH.

I weigh 138 and have found the Forza to be fine at 65-70 mph and have had it up to 80mph once or twice. Does yours have the short original windshield, or a taller one? I would think the short one would become tiring at highway speeds after a few miles. I have the tall optional Honda screen pus a Laminar Lip...works great.

I think my top speed dropped when I put on the taller Honda screen. It might have been the later 55 litre top case.

I got my first speeding ticket in 40 years of driving before the high screen or the Top Case went on. It was too easy to go fast.

It has the Honda tall screen and a givi rack on. I am thinking of adding better tires on already. Its has the Oem Dunlops.
good to hear it can handle freeways just fine. Makes me wonder if I should keep my Hd200 since half the year its too cold/wet to ride and two scoots makes not a lot of practical sense.

I am thinking of leaving the Northern Part of the Usa. The older I get the more I hate the cold, its like an invasion of my privacy.
I want to move to a suburb of San Diego. great weather and right next door to Mexico, which is more fun than being next to Canada. I live in Seattle right now and its a mess, half a million people moving in daily it seems. Homeless issues, housing woes bursting at the seams. Million dollars for a shack. all without the warmth and sun of so cal.

I came to that conclusion a long time ago.. No way I'm living anywhere but the sunbelt where there is water(ocean) nearby. I need to hear sea gulls and have lots of sun .

So if you are up north and thinking about riding at highway speed for a good distance in the cold, you might want to consider spending the money on a motorcycle carrier. It will be far less than the gear you will need to ride home safely. If you (or a friend) have a vehicle with a 2" receiver hitch, it would make much sense to just go get the scoot. Plus you would have the carrier for when you do go south, or need to bring the machine to the shop. I have found many and would prefer to get an aluminum one, but you can get the deed done for fairly short money.

I think the main problem is that the OP is 135 pounds. Go have a few donuts & coffee. I am short but I have not weighed 135 pounds in about 40 years.

I got to ride it today for 26 miles, took it on the freeway and to me its best and with least amount of vibes at 60-67 or so. Past that and its not in its prime freeway speed.

The Forza 300s I've ridden all had a slight vibration around 68-70ish mph but it smoothed out if you went a bit faster.
