Seat Pad

Post by easyrider »

Enjoying the Forza , but at some point I think I may want a seat pad. Not crazy about the air hawk as I like to be planted and not crazy about slip sliding . Any other recommendations are appreciated and pictures would be great ..Thx

If I was going to do it I'd have a gel insert put inside the seat

I have a gel pad that I purchased at Walmart. I stumbled across it by accident. I think I was in the pillow area or somewhere close to that area. It is square, sort of like something you would put on a dining room chair. In any case, my wife bought some vinyl at a fabric store and sewed a pillow case for it. I have it strapped on my seat with a ROK strap. It is much cheaper than some of those custom motorcycle pad.
Currently own:
Red 2013 Honda PCX150

Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights
Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn
Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires
Headlight assy upgraded to LEDs w/HS5 main bulbs
NCY variator, drive face, and rollers

My solution came from McDonalds.

I have extra padding in my ass due to too many Egg McMuffins on Sundays.

You guys really don't want any pictures.

I use a Saddleman gel pad under an Alaska Leather Sheepskin. Works out great.

I have two other solutions in that I ride in the cold and rain often so I wear a lot of layers of clothing. The other solution is that I wear a technical underwear of high tech fabric that is basically just nylon .

I actually find my stock seat to be very comfortable. I travel long distances but my frequent bathroom breaks mean I get a little blood moving in my ass to get rid of any pain.

So after all of that bs, Why do you find the seat uncomfortable? It might not be the seat that is the problem.

I actually find the seat very comfortable albeit I never did any hour long rides yet. I am interested because I installed a tall GIVI windshield and cut 1 inch off the top for better road vision. After cutting the 1 inch which is really pretty good now I find myself wondering if a little bit more would have been better. I just think having an ass pad around might be a good idea or worth a try if needed. I don't want to cut anymore off as it is pretty good, but borderline. Sooo a removable pad might just fill the bill..or not !!Basically just doing some experimentation.

I have large air hawk and it doesn't move at all. It has two straps that go underneath, and crisscross and it is rock solid, even after hours of use.
