2015 Forza w/o ABS

Post by flavioguy »

I recently found a 2015 Forza w/o ABS and a tall windshield with 1500 miles. The seller wants $4100. Seems that $3500 to $3700 would be a more realistic price. Still needs to have the fuel pump recall completed!

Thoughts?

From my lots of experience I would ignore a non-abs Forza. ABS makes the rubber last longer! Flame on.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean when you say "ABS makes the rubber will last longer". Please clarify.

I remember your thread where you choose the SMAX. Besides the Forza what else are you considering?

I think you are right. The price seems a tad high.
I am planning to sell my 2015 Forza this spring. My asking price will be somewhere around $4200ish.
I added the Honda tall windscreen, 39L Shad top box and put some custom graphics on it.

You don't lock up the rear tire doing stupid things. It lasts longer.

87112 - yep, still have the SMAX.

I've considered the Burgman 400 (a bit bigger than I'd like), the Kymco Downtown 300i (hard to find), Majesty 400 (I drove one - comfortable but not that impressed otherwise) and the Piaggio BV 350 (not crazy about the seating position). This Forza became available and I'd prefer an ABS model but there are no used ones around. I won't buy from the dealer again (those fees make me crazy).

TJLayden - thanks of the input

Davenowherejones - ah, not that kind of rider!

Those fees, I know shops got to make money but when a new scooter is like 6k OTD it makes me wonder. Is it really worth half the price of a nice used compact car? NO NO NO.

I too am looking for a bit bigger CC scooter but now will just hold out for what I want used. I mean riding a used scooter for a few years and selling it for a few hundred less is my idea of a good investment.

Hey, glad to see you are still around. I would have to check but didn't you go off a while back? Time to get back out there?

UPDATE - as fate would have it (I don't believe in Luck), another Forza appeared on CL three days ago - WITH ABS. I bought it yesterday! In perfect condition with 2700 miles. Changed oil and filter yesterday. I'm back in the Honda fold! Now I just need to sell the Yamaha SMAX. Thanks all again for your input.

Result! :D

I do believe in luck but only when I go fishing.
Its bad luck when I don't catch any fish, but when I do catch fish it isn't luck, its pure skill.

Finally...pics. 2015 w/ ABS.

What a great ride!! It reminds me a bit of my previous Silverwing but lighter, more manageable and better suspended.

BTW - I decided to add a K&N filter (for a variety of reasons). My MPG has definitely gone up (see pic).
Has anyone else noticed this also?

Yes....air filter. I get high 70's to 80's. I must admit I'm not a hot rodder (and the air here is very dry...perfect for high mileage). I was getting 67/68 with the old filter at first.

It looks almost exactly like the original (and fits perfectly of course) but it's washable and reusable.
