Hi, new to the pcx forum. My scooter is now a year old and have 4200 miles. Just added a new mid tall screen, trunk and step seat. All these mods are from ebay and now I like the scooter even better. Had bigger motorcycles before, but this scooter is more fun to ride, just twist and go.

Just wanted to share and say hi.

Your location looks pretty good right about now, with snow turning to freezing rain for the evening.

Scoot looks great! Seat appears comfortable, and your fender embellishment hits a nice balance of tasteful yet noticeable.

Welcome aboard!
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

Welcome!

I'll bet those mirrors work great too!

Nice looking PCX. Others on this forum have gotten seats similar to yours and swear by the added comfort.

Enjoy riding in the land of those tasty mudbugs. I think of them as bite-size lobsters.

I like it but now my tunnel bag(s) are overweight  (hard to fit in the space). I like the stock seat too but not for those longer rides. Your mirrors look like they came from a Honda Shadow? Or another. Good lookers!!

Mel - Check your settings in Windows Explorer. . .or reboot. You should be all set if you are running a version 8 or above.

Here's a link to some help from MS.

FWIW it looks like a seat that I think you may have. . .. 8)

I view just about everything from one of my various Samsung tablets. Shortly after I wrote that I received a notice of an operating system update. Now I can see the pictures. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but thems da facts.

The new Windows 10 (1709) update is a tough one. It's giving a lot of people problems with drivers and monitors (Will Not Support Input messages for example). That being said it sounds like you are fully operational again. Life is good! :geek:

Since I take care of my own computers i was able to see what problems Windows 10 was bringing, so i chose to stop my upgrades on both of my Windows machines at Windows 7. I haven't regretted it.

When I start to have some problems with drivers, etc, I just turn the machine off and reboot it in Linux Mint. It works better and can run many Windows programs. The only reason I keep Windows around is because there are some programs which refuse to work on anything but Windows, such as my Office package. Granted, I do have a package on Linux that runs just like Office, but I am having some problems with the print drivers right now and Windows 7 was free, so I will keep it for now.

A more comfortable seat? I'm intrigued. What was the longest ride you have had on that seat? I'm 5' 8" would it work for me?

I'm 6' tall and 200 lbs. I've had trouble with the stock seat with hurting my lower back after 2 hours. I can now ride much longer with no problem. I average 2 - 3 hours of local riding. However did lose the ability for under seat storage of my 3/4 helmet. That's why I installed the trunk. I can store and lock my helmet in the trunk and use the regular under-seat storage for other things. We have good thieves here in Louisiana with nothing better to do but steal stuff.

@ Gil, longest ride on aftermarket seat? About 3hrs. With a broken back I get off to walk it out. It's a great reason to capture those Kodak Moments whilst I do. Pics folks! :D We loves 'em!

Hmm, what's wrong with my aftermarket seat (shown above)? Because of my back-n-butt - it could use more padding. I have an upholstery fella that would add some for me but I haven't gotten around to dropping it off.
Funny thing is, I do like my stock seat. And my stock seat gives me more room in the step through area to fit any one of my tunnel bags . So, the Stock seat wins in that respect. The aftermarket seat is longer front to back and eats up tunnel space.

Usually, when you order an aftermarket seat you can expect to lose something in order to get something else. That 'something' that you lose is usually the under seat storage. I put an aftermarket seat on mine and have a tail box to offset the loss of under seat storage.
I also have a tunnel bag, and it fits with a little bit of effort...put it on before putting anything in it. Try to use the tunnel bag first before using the underseat storage, if possible. However, there are times when I put my jacket under the seat once I reach my destination. That usually means taking the tunnel bag off in order to accomplish what I need to.

Just made a major upgrade. I did a trade with the local Honda dealership on a pre-owned 2014 Forza 300 with 3,060 miles. I did enjoy my pcx 150, but it was unstable during windy conditions.

I will try to move my profile to the forza section of this forum.

A PCX 150 is a great little bike, but if you have a lot of rough road and windy conditions I think that the Forza will handle it better. I was stationed in New Orleans many, many years ago (Coast Guard Search & Rescue) and we flew all over the southern La. area. The roads there can get rough from all of the bad weather, and there aren't any shoulders to pull over on if you have a problem. I think the Forza can handle those roads better than the little PCX.

I did the same recently. I had a Sym Hd200 it took the freeway ok but you knew it was a bit out of its element. The Forza is more capable but not like a Majesty or Burgman. It also is not pig heavy either. best of both worlds.

I did lots of research, watched many you tube videos, and value the member posts. We have a real good Honda dealership in the area and thought the trade was good. I only rode it home yesterday (on a very windy day) and the forza did good. I hope the forza will be as good as my pcx was.
