New to the PCX so need bit of advice please

Post by Pete »

Hello All.
Got myself a 5000 miles 2015 PCX for the back of my motorhome garage , fits perfect, had new Michelins fitted and love the little beauty , apart from one thing , the rear suspension does not match up to the rest of the scoot , I ride two up and wish to get something better , don't want to make any other changes am happy with the power for tootling around , anybody can advise an upgrade will appreciate it. Had a search on here but nothing came up.Thanks. Pete

At a minimum, keep the tire pressure up. For two up, I believe the rear should be at 36 psi. Front is always 29 psi.

Aftermarket shocks are a possibility - someone will chime in on their merits. I've just gotten used to using the maneuverability to go around as many road imperfections as I can. If I can't, I come up a bit off the seat, hopefully soon enough to warn the Admiral.
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

but please, don't delete anybody, no matter how badly they deserve deleting :)

A good aftershock that has a good preload for riding two people and is reliable and cheap is the YSS Z-series shock. Two years on mine hauling around my 250lbs, and they still work great. About 140 shipped.....
