Post by Jge64 »

Could not find with a search...

Without any modification, what is the largest rear tire I can mount on a stock 15 PCX?

I don't think you can unless you put the 120/70/14 and that's a front tire. I know it's been done in here but there are many reasons NOT to put a front tire on the rear.

Stock is 90/90-14 front & 100/90-14 rear if I'm not mistaken

Oversize in Michelin for PCX is 120/70-14 front & 140/70-14 rear and will require slight mod for rear tire ONLY spacing off the airbox 3/8" and rear fender hugger 1/2"

Take note, on stock vario, a 140 rear will be too heavy for the engine..
Everything looks better from the inside of a motorcycle helmet...

Mr. Chin is correct, you will lose 4 mph with those larger tires/tyres and that will lead you into variator performance add ons to get it back plus some. Your speedometer will also be 2 mph off because of the slight change in height. Benefits after both rubber and performance kit changes will result in;

Over all speed and acceleration increase
Better comfort and stability on the larger rubber
Great look with the wheel wells filled out
