[quote="homie"]If I sent you a new seat would you use it... or put a cover on it?[/quote.

I would use it and not put a seat cover on it.

By the way, Tampa Bay in in Tampa...that's in Florida. Yes, it is on the western side. Maybe that counts.
To get some ideas about seat cover material, try the Internet. It is cheaper than buying the material. In fact, even PhotoShop will work. You won't have to buy anything and we can still tell you that it looks terrible....unless you can make a removable cover for various occasions such as 4th of July, St. Patrick's day, Easter, Christmas, and so forth.

Thanks for the photo shop idea. Yes I know Tampa Bay is in Florida. I was trying to be funny. I was an OTR trucker and know my geography well.

I like the seat cover you have there. As for it being feminine, if feel confident in your manhood and have to need to prove it then rock whatever you want, that's what I do. I would only be concerned about its durability when exposed to the elements.

I don't mind the Seahawks one so much, but maybe turn the pattern 90°

Still think that white, black or maybe just maybe something to give a stark colour contrast like red are the only things likely to look good. I don't think patterns are ever going to cut it - they'll just look out of place on a bike with no other significant high-frequency detail. That's my professional photographer / retoucher / printer opinion anyway.

I just stumbled upon a site full of across the board fabrics. Many colors, solids and patterns that are durable enough for our saddles or other vehicles. If you or anyone is interested in what's "out there" today in fabrics, set aside some time and browse around:
https://www.camirafabrics.com/us/fabric ... n/dash-red

Vinyl, leather, cloth, etc. Samples offered. That's all I know folks. No experience with them at all but I liked what I saw ;)

I will soon be closing the chapter on the fabric seat ordeal as Homie is sending me a #18 seat, and I will no longer have to restrict myself to sitting in front of the passenger step-up, which is very uncomfortable on my legs, back, and private parts. The whole reason I took off the original cover was to build-up my seat with foam, but no surprise to me I had neither the skills, patience, tools, or appropriate work environment in which to do it.
Once I realized the foam modification was never going to happen, then I tried to make the best of it by at least putting on an interesting cover, ducked taped, naturally, to the underside. Now, blessedly, I can close the chapter on this, and enjoy my ride on a seat that allows me to stretch out more. Thank you, Homie. I can't wait to receive it, and put it on. It is still in the 100s here this week in SW Idaho so still lots of riding left to do this year.

I agree with seat color assessment. I really like the red seats on the black and white scooter

The red stock seat and white rims look great. Where does one buy stock seats? Is shipping expensive for those? Not that I would ever buy a stock seat considering the grief it has caused me.

I think the stock seat was the innocent party in this....
