I like the idea, just not the pattern. Keep experimenting though!

Eye bleach hahahaha.

I found my next fabric. It is at a different Walmart in town. They have all, or many, of the NFL teams. Since I live in Boise, Idaho, I can choose either Seattle Seahawks or Denver Bronocos, or Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa Bay is in the pacific NW, isn't it? I have only a casual interest in football. I like listening to football talk on sports radio more than I do actually watching football. But be that as it may, an NFL seat fabric might look pretty awesome on my scooter, especially the Seahawks with its fluorescent green. I am so embarrassed by the flowery "black bandana" fabric I have on there now. I will post pics when I get the new fabric on there, which will probably be this weekend.

of the NFL team you listed, I think the Seattle logo would work the best for a seat design....and I don't even like the Shithawks :)

I think white vinyl would look good - would go with the white colour scheme.

Not a fan of white upholstery. It doesn't hide stains at all. . .like if you get seagull, pigeon, or bird crap on it and don't get to clean it off right away and it sits out in the sun for a few days it's very difficult to get it out 100%. And don't forget those spider dots.

Darker colors hide the realities of wear and mileage better IMHO. But that's just me. 8)

I'd stick with black, brown, red, or even dark tan in the material of your choice that you can work with. No pattern would be totally acceptable I think. It's too bad Cheeky Seats hasn't been able to offer a new cover design for the post 2015 models yet. Since they changed the seat pan it makes it difficult to create an "over-the-top" cover. Which leaves you the option of buying an after market seat or attempting to recover the existing one like you are now. :geek:

They can't make one because of the special fabric it takes to accommodate the rebound area of the saddle. Leather will not flex properly like the stock seat material does. I realized this from their struggle in their own video to make a professional looking LED PCX cheeky seat cover. And its why I will give up my hopes of recovering one to my satisfaction in red. However someday soon I will be able to buy a stock LED PCX seat in red ... WOOT!

Cheeky will make a pre-LED PCX seat cover right?

Cheeky makes them up through the 2013 models with the "Hump". :geek:

I never heard anything back from Corbin when I left a message with them a few months ago. That being said I never followed up with them either. It's possible they are really busy.

They do make seats for the Silver Wing but not the PCX. Don't know why. They have them for the Grom and Kaw Z125 and they are new to the market. Don't even see the PCX listed on their potential R&D list. Maybe there's not enough barking puppies in the window asking for PCX seats by Corbin.

My Corbin seat on my Suzuki Bandit is almost 20 years old and still looks great. 8)

I have a Corbin for my streetbike but I swapped it out for stock Buell seat because they don't make a pillion seat to match and it's wider which was digging me at the intersections when straddling where Buell just did a better fit than Corbin does. I plan to sell it as I know they are pricey.

I understand about the pillion situation. Mine came with raised pillion and backrest (removable). It allows the passenger to get a better view . . ..

During the winter I usually remove my Corbin and put the stock seat back on. It's less "dished" and more cushy actually. But the Corbin is better for quick acceleration when trying to get up on interstates or pass. I find it's better for sport touring in general. That being said t'is better to be a lighter rider on the Corbin. . .extra rider weight detracts from the comfort on longer trips especially.

Here's a comparison of stock vs Corbin.

I put on my Seattle Seahawk fabric today and ripped off the hideously gay "black bandana". I think the Seattle Seahawk fabric is its own kind of hideous. It doesn't look good in my opinion. It looked good in my head. But just like the black bandana, it didn't translate well. See here are a couple of pics. Get the eye bleach ready, bitches.

It definitely is a "one of a kind". Ride it and enjoy it. When the print starts to wear thin think about a replacement later on. But for now I'd keep it. 8)

Moral to the story is "Work less. . .ride more. . .and enjoy life". :D

FWIW don't be surprised if you start having people ask you where they can get one. ;)

This one doesn't look too bad. The previous one looks like a polka dot pattern from a distance hence feminine.

What's wrong with feminine?
