I have this same issue with every small bike I ride for a while.

I get to thinking, "If only it did a extra few mph here ... or there."

I'm sure it's just a mental thing because once I get over it I realise that it is what it is.

It's finding that inner peace between you and the bike.

It works for me, anyhow. xxx

55 is achievable unless you are on an EXTREMELY steep incline....you will need to mess with rollers at a minimum though.

Remember it is what it is; if you live somewhere very hilly and have issues keeping up with traffic you probably need a bigger/more powerful bike.

If you are keeping it and want more speed, here is what you need:
1. NCY variator AND drive face
2. 13 gram rollers
3. New belt IF you have more than 3,000 miles on it.
These should give you another 10 mph.

This is an issue with every bike under 1000cc.

With a 50, acceleration is slow, even if the top speed will let you (eventually) keep up in town.
With a 125-150, it can't keep up on hills outside of town
With a 400, it's breathing hard to keep up with traffic going 75-80.
With a 600 twin.... well OK, this only struggles on big hills where you want to go 75+

I had a Kawasaki Concours (1000cc, 4 cylinder) and when my wife and I were both on it, it was all I could do to beat a V6 minivan off the line. Traded up to a Yamaha FJR1300 ABS and found bliss. ....but it was roasting me at any speed less than 55 mph in the summer. Only got 45 mpg too.

There's always SOMETHING. You've just got to find your happy medium.

A great deal considering the performance increases and you already have a new belt. Don't wonder off the 13 gram rollers as we have tested this NCY kit in here extensively with that combination of roller weight and it WILL please you tremendously. I would expect you to hit 78 mph on a slight down grade, don't know how it will do on the hill you are climbing. A good winter project for you eggman.

interesting. but will this affect warranty?

considering my weight (65 kgs), I can top my stock pcx 2016 a little around 71mph. wonder if how much will be the added top end if I install this set up.

Since top end will improve, will my acceleration suffer? a big deal since I'm always riding with a pillion.
