1/3 of my mileage is in the rain. 22,000 on the PCX and 44,000 on the CBR250R.

Have ridden extensively in all kinds of weather but at this stage of the game I like to ride when the weather is good. Paid my dues. But if I have to, I take it easy in rain. . .especially if it's been dry for a while and oil has built up on the surface. I keep my distance behind other vehicles to avoid the wake of their puddle splashes and spray. I have one other scooter (MOPED) I use for bad weather/salty winter roads around town when it's a must.

Today's rainy ride for some. This is the main commercial road in the downtown core of Bangkok at 2pm today. I wasn't riding in it.

Like a Pond! I wouldn't want to roll my truck through that! kram, do you drive through swells of rainfall like that often?

Never. With living in the downtown core, public transportation (subway, skytrain) is very convenient. And if I have to travel off of the subway or skytrain line, taxis are very inexpensive. By that I mean, I can get a taxi from the airport to home (15 miles - 25 kms) for less than $8 US (7€).

I see people in my town driving over shore roads that get flooded during excessive high tides or full moon tides like they think they are in a boat and stir up quite a lot of water. All that salt gets into the crevices of their frame and sheet metal and then they wonder why they start getting rust and holes in their cars or trucks with only a few years on them. Causes havoc with the brake calipers too. . ..

Rain? Real men ride in the snow! I have not issue riding in the rain.

Not big of clever, but doable with a decent set of tyres.

It was a thunder storm of snow. Cars were pulling over for lack of vision. Luckily I could see on the radar that it would blow over and it was still above freezing so it didn't pile up in the road.

Just the one spill recently in the wet, but at slow speed. Would not put me off riding in wet.

Mechanically they are built for it. Just down to personal preference. Worry more about what others on road are doing than myself in the wet. Just aim to be as visible as possible.
