Best trip average km/l or mpg

Post by raito »

Hi everyone. I just got my 2015 PCX150 last weekend and I am loving it! :D

Today I found out that its computer shows average consumption for a trip, and resets went the tripmeter is reset. I am getting up to 60.0km/l on a 50.4km trip, and odometer at the end is still only 123km. That's 141mpg, way better than 100mpg claimed on Honda's website. Is the computer accurate enough to be worth looking at?

I'm guessing some people got higher than 60.0km/l?

You will see crazy mpg during break in. Due to your tempered easy acceleration. Reset it and watch it fall back as you get more aggressive LOL

Hi raito :P Congratulations and welcome to our forum(s)!
Glad to read that you're happy with your new scoot and it's high mpg.
I have no need to keep track of mpg nor do I want to, so I can't advise you on that bit.
But, I can tell you that I grin like a ninny inside me lid and sing too. Crazy? Perhaps

If you say so, then I may keep seeing these crazy mpg for the long life of the scoot! I thought I accelerate hard enough compared to on my previous old 270cc scoot, and only try to limit the top speed during this break in. On my old big scoot I usually go at 80kmh top anyway.. yeah, I know I'm a slow rider..

My lifetime for my 2013 PCX150 which is 80% back country highway at 55 mph is just over 100 MPGus, 42.7 km/L.

All urban city driving, normal 30 and max 40mph. I had best mpg almost from new and it's gone down slightly since then, but still great.

Yesterday I filled it up for the first time, reset the tripmeter, and at the end of the day got the computer up to 62.5km/l (147mpg) :)

Don't forget to compare 125's to 125's and not get a 150cc in that mix of awesome mpg :)

They will also want to start tracking the actuall fill up quantity versus distance traveled and logging on Fuelly or Spiritmonitor to see what they are really getting. The computer is just a good guess. The Larger UK gallon always makes for a much bigger number when stating mpgUK versus mpgUS.

I average an average of 50km/l and I do not ride "conservatively" most of the time.

I'm getting 47km/Ltre or 132.5 miles/gallon (UK). My daily commute is less than ten miles of urban stop-start and I rarely get above 35mph. I think those fuel consumption figures are phenomenal.

Just filled up the tank for second time with my trip computer at 60.0km/l, while my calculated fuel consumption is 52.2km/l. Still pretty good, I guess. :)

Hello all.
New member here.
Just added a 2015 PCX 150 to my small collection of scooters/bikes.
Thought I'd offer my fuel stats for the discussion.
Bought the bike 10 months old 2 months ago with 4,400 kilometres on the clock (about 3,000 miles).
Filled it up 5 or 6 times so far.
Getting 44.7 kilo / litre average and that's mixed urban / bypass roads.
That's about 126 miles UK galllon and 105 miles US gallon.
Much of that is at 50 miles per hour / 80 kilo per hour and with a passenger.

It seems so far that the digital fuel consumption meter is about 10% over the measured real figure.

If someone can tell me how to add my fuelly.com image/banner, as per the users [sendler2112] and [ratio], that would be great thanks. I cannot find the info in the FAQ section.

Enjoy your scoots :)

Go to the Fuelly dashboard, click on the your vehicle image at the top of that page, scroll down and right near the bottom click on badges and copy and paste the 2nd line near the top i.e. http://badges.fuelly.com/images/sig-xxxxxxxxx.png[/img] part (not the html part!) into your profile on this forum > control panel, signature.

Thank you very much.
Took me a few minutes to find 'signature' in the control panel. Embarrassing.
Have done that now, but it shows as U.S. miles / gallon, while my Fuelly settings are Kilo/Litre.
That is no problem - I guess this forum is US based and it does not change my actual Fuelly page.

Thanks again.

Test-post

I have added a Fuelly banner to my signature and this post is just to show me whether I have done it properly.
