I'll be leaving soon

Post by lolofigo »

Time came to replace my pcx. Bought recently Kymco downtown 300i it's insurance write off but just some minor panel damage I can live with. It needs some work doing but hopefully it won't be long before it will be back on the road. Anyone interested in pcx 164 yuminashi? Here's picture of work in progress on Downtown (so much easier to take the tupperware off than on pcx)

Hopefully you can find panels for the Downtown as easy as for the PCX. The 300 is a nice bike, if you can find parts.
Currently own:
Red 2013 Honda PCX150

Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights
Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn
Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires
Headlight assy upgraded to LEDs w/HS5 main bulbs
NCY variator, drive face, and rollers

Already looked on ebay. Not as easy as pcx for sure. Only bottom fairing on right side is damaged with hole in it. Rest is just scratches. Front has been dismantled to get access to the ignition as bought the bike without the keys as non runner. After gaining access to the ignition it started first touch. Had to send the barrel to the locksmiths to get new keys made. Can't believe how easy scooter is to hotwire it took me half an hour without braking anything. I've taken ignition apart an started it with screwdriver. If someone just smashes the plastics and cuts the wires it's "gone in 60 seconds".

Nice to fix a bike up and get it on the road doesn't look in that bad a shape either. Do they still have the magic round about in Swindon?

It's not so bad. I used to drive a bus through not so magic roundabout on daily basis. Bit slower than on the video though, passengers would've complained. Paid £ 605 for the Downtown but it has no keys, v5 and no mot. Hopefully I'll get it sorted.

I think Magic Mike and Ken Block should have a race :)

UK guys on Kymcoforum.com should be able to help you sus parts.
Plenty of tech. advice there, too, as your model is a very popular scoot.

Thanks Stig. Someone there recommended racing planet uk. I'll have a look online, maybe there is a place where I can order directly from Taiwan.
