What if the battery goes flat?

Post by Cascanciu »

Thought about this morning. I guess I'm not the only one who leaves his helmet/gloves under the seat. We need power to access them since we have to push a button that is electrically operated and the battery happens to be right there, too, so if the battery goes flat... How do we get to the battery so as to plug some jump leads and provide some power to the battery?. There is no other place where you can plug the leads, is there?.

Just food for thought ;) , inputs welcome.

the switch is electrically operated? I always thought it was mechanical. Could be wrong though i know very little about how bikes are built.

The seat and fuel flap switches are very definitely mechanical.

To be honest I've not even gone looking for the battery on my PCX  If for any reasons the battery went flat, I would call the very nice people from the AA out :D

Why not would be because you may have to wait for hours as I did when I dieseled mine.
I believe the battery is at the front of the underseat storage area behind a flap.

Forgot about that bit, doesn't really matter because I belong to the AA anyway, had to call them out earlier in year to get my Deau started (Now place on optimate charge in the garage, PCX lives outside)
