Having a bad time at the moment

Post by unwinder »

Hi all,

Well I thought I would post on the forum for the first time. Well on Wednesday night I fell over my door step and sprained my ankle so I won't be on the PCX for a few days as I can't get my boot on

Also found out this week that my mum and sister in law have cancer...not good .... puts things and life into perspective and makes me more determined to have fun today rather than waiting.

Shit. Sorry to hear about your mum and sister. Know how you feel, my mom had breast cancer. Shes fine now though after a couple years of surgeries and stuff. Hopefully you mums and sisters goes the same way.

My mother in law beat breast cancer too. Did they catch it early, unwinder?

Hope your ankle feels better, it sucks not being able to ride.

Keep your spirits up especially for your mother and sis in law who will need a lot of support. Hope treatment goes well for them.

Good luck to your mom and sister! Cancer is a horrible thing to deal with, but it is manageable. Hope they get better soon. Hope that ankle gets better soon too so you can get some riding in to take your mind off things.

Thanks for all of your messages. Unfortunately my mum's cancer is throughout her lymph glands so it's inoperable. My sister in law has suspected cervical cancer and we are waiting for test results..hope it's not spread.

My ankle is feeling better, at least I don't have to use a back brake with my right foot, I went to work on the PCX today and my boots supported the ankle all day. Should be ok within a few days me thinks.

Ah, sorry to hear that. Are they going to treat her with chemo, or is it too late?

Glad to hear your ankle's improving though.

It's too late for treatment, drugs will just keep it from getting worse too quickly.
