Loose Mirror Help

Post by Teamtd11 »

Riding home today I looked into my Right Mirror and to my surprise all I could see was myself :O
Now as much as I like to look at myself as I ride along it is kind of annoying.

I adjusted the mirror back into place but then watched as it was moved back into the position I randomly found it in.

Now to the question. Does anyone know if i can tighten the mirror up? Its not the base of the mirror thats the problem.
Its the ball joint part here.

Hi
I had the same problem with the left one!
No matter how much I tightened it, it still worked its way loose again
I didn't realize until after my 600 mile service that it hadn't moved so I guess the dealer must of tightened it up

you can tighten them up very tight or add a washer first to get position right before tightening. One of them is reverse thread so that they should tighten when wind pushes against them. Sorry am overseas and away from my pCX otherwise would help more.

I worked out how to do it while fiddling with it today.
You have to hold onto the cone shaped bit to stop that rotating then rotate the mirror clockwise until it tightens up.
I guess when i was trying before the cone part of it was just spinning as well.
