As for location for the tin hat brigade. Country is fine if you want questions answered. Otherwise you can state your location in the question?

Hope all had a Merry Xmas.

WM howdy, :) Not a bad idea, but location is preferred by owner of forum, maddiedog.

Adding location has proven to be a valuable tool in helping one another. Ask our members. Survey?
Personally, I would find it a P.I.T.A. to state my location each time I posted a question on the forum(s). Annoying in fact. Ahh...not to mention (and this one's a biggie)...just me remembering to mention it each time

Itsa "one shot deal" folks, just Complete your profile from the giddy-up. So easy and what results you'll have "as time goes by." No delays with us having to ask, where you at mate? We'll know, and help will be on its way.
(Hmm...gn2 is that it's, its' or its?) Damn some are confusing. I'm getting old, I need a refresher

Literacy standards of a European five year old = North American. Simples.

Oh, c'mon, RusticCharm, it isn't that bad. Three months of winter, six weeks or so of "unlocking", when it can be glorious or miserable, then the most beautiful summer weather I have ever known. What could be better than a perfect Wisconsin summer day? I grew up in the south, where we ran the air conditioning sometimes on Christmas day, and the cockroaches were so big we used them as BB gun targets. The bitter northern winter makes the spring and summer all the more welcome and appreciated. Riding weather extends all the way into October. And there are fewer people up here who believe that the earth is flat. A versatile riding jacket and some mosquito repellent go a long way toward enjoying life at a higher latitude.

Exactly -- the farther north you go, the bigger they are.

WhiteNoise, did you make it through the big storm okay? I assume you stayed home and are waiting it out until the roads are clear. Record snowfall in NYC!

db22 thanks for asking! Yes, a NY record snowfall. Yikes!
Everything A-Okay now, but we had a plop-load of the stuff.
Over 2 feet where I'm at with drifts up to my chin (guess that's close to 5'). I was housebound the day of the storm and the next day commeced with my breakout.

OMGodosh I shoveled for hours! Unreal. I live in a community of townhomes so we have plows, bobcats and several teams of men shoveling for us, but those of us who could help by servicing our own made it a little easier for them. I felt so bad for them. We had a few good laughs though and...we def stayed hydrated and dry. Bit cold as the day got later. Yes! I was all "suited up." :D

Afterwards....Ibuprofen. Tis my Friend, A miracle over-the-counter pain/muscle reliever that never fails me after prolonged muscle activities (even riding) ;)

So, How are things in Glocca Morra? :? I mean Western Wisconsin? :D You're by the water(s), yes?

WhiteNoise -- Holy smokes, you gotta lotta snow! We haven't seen that much in our part of the Land of Beer and Cheese in quite a few winters. Temps near 40F/+4C this afternoon, though we are due for some snow/sleet precip in the next day or so. Thin sun and dry patches on the street today; made me think of my little PCX in the dealer's storage room . . . just a few more weeks, maybe, I hope . . .
