Thanks,

Great thought Bob, but I do not believe there is a way to search by location. If our forum owner reads this, may be will know of something that can be set up, but I know us MODS don't have the ability to do it.

Ok sign/log in first, then click on "members" (found at the top right of any page), once there scroll down and look for a drop down box labeled: Select Sort Method. Click the arrow next to it. Do you see location as a choice? Sure ya do. That shows us that it is indeed possible to set up. In the past I looked and wanted that feature activated then forgot about it. Now that the forums have grown considerably I agree it's time to location it in :D I will put forward the suggestion to our leader. Hold fast peeps

Nope, sorry, don't see it. The only option I get in the drop down box is "Select a forum". When I click it the arrow next to it, it only lists the the various forums as options to click on, but that is all. :( What browser are you using? I use Chrome. Maybe it varies from browser to browser.

Sorry kram, let me try again :)
I'm using my iPad3 - Safari
Log in. Click on the members page, scroll down just past the members list box. Stop.
Now Look in the "center" of the page (under the members box). You will see the words,
Select Sort Method with an empty box next to it AND an arrow to use the drop down's choices.
One of the choices seen is "Location."
There she be.
I hope that helped ;) It would be great to activate this option.

For a while, member Ishkabible had a google map link that had quite a few of us on it. That link has gone kaput (as apparently, member Ishkabibble). This is/was the link:

https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid= ... 359374&z=6

All the entered points have disappeared; maybe someone can figure out how to get this back up and stable.

I just tried to do my own map, and plan on being around a while. It would probably be better if the map were somehow associated with the site, but for now maybe this will show where people are.

This link should let you add your location:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1NlP7x ... sp=sharing

Anybody want to try to add to this map?

Seems to work! So far we have RPM, Homie, and me. John L has a layer - don't understand yet what that is about, but I'm sure we will at some point.

This could let you know if someone is sort of nearby, but I'm also hoping that it will show a remarkable diversity. We are a far-flung group - it will be interesting to see just how flung we are.

Humph - Homie, you seem to be (mostly) right. While I can't move you, I can delete you. Maybe that is what happened to the original map.

OTOH, you can't have something without trying. It may be fun until we get an A-hole messing around.

I suggest you don't tag your actual place of resident people. With an address, license plate cyber criminals can do you a lot of harm. For example that barn is close to me but not my home.

You don't live in a barn?
