Honda Forza 300

Post by Theboybilly »

Further to the discussions on the new Forza 300, a dealer in Colwyn Bay is taking orders on ebay for deposits for delivery in May
Price? £6,500

A bit too steep for me, what are your thoughts? I can't find an official Honda release on the price yet

Seen that before, the UK price has not been set by Honda so that figure can be ignored.
The Forza isn't due to go on sale till May so it'll be a while before the UK price is announced.
I think it will be somewhere between £4000 and £4400

At £4000-£4500 would you take it over an X10, Gn2? I must admit I do like the look of the Piaggio but Honda quality.....
Dealer location might be the deciding factor if it's a close run thing.

Not sure about an X10, lovely looking thing but I would be reluctant to buy Italian.
For my next scooter the current shortlist is Yamaha Xmax 250, Honda Forza 300 and Yamaha Majesty 400.
There's plenty time for me to decide, I won't be changing for a year or so.
Much depends what's on the second hand market at the time, I doubt I would buy new again.

I see your point. Biketrader has advertised nice used Majesty 400s for decent money recenty. You can also save money buy snagging one with the extras you may need thrown in too. I just like riding or driving off dealer forecourts with a new vehicle though. But time taken looking for the ideal, well looked-after machine could save a lot of cash.

where does Yamaha stand with ABS as I think you can buy the Majesty here in Oz but no ABS.

ABS is an option on the Majesty and Xmax in mainland Europe but not in the UK.

The Daily Mail reports you went with the Forza.
Did specific elements disuade you from the Majesty 400?
I've only now heard about the Yamaha and curious about it.
Thank you, Mister 2.

Majesty 400 doesn't have ABS, has shorter service intervals, uses more fuel and is more expensive.
And I prefer the styling of the Forza.

I know: 5100 euro!

http://www.moto.it/moto-nuove/honda/forza/index.html

Is not a little bit expensive?...4000-4500 I think is a fair price for the 300 cc class.
Currently own: 2013 Honda PCX150 red, 2008 Suzuki Burgman 400 red.

People buy the Daily Mail to find out what their opinion should be

That's not gn2. He knows his opinion and you get it both barrels, long before others would engage empathy
