Weather report

Fuckers at my school gave me a $50 ticket for parking where I'm supposed to. Gah. Thus is life.
If you did nothing wrong don't pay it!

If I don't pay, they will just take it from my paycheck because I work there. They also won't allow me to register classes...

To fight the ticket, I have to go in to the parking office in-person, and file a claim to protest the ticket. Then, I have to come back at a scheduled time that they will give me (which will be past the late due date on the ticket -- another $25 penalty). Generally the time is either in the middle of my work day or in the evening, meaning I'll either have to take time off or make another trip into the city for it. Then, my (discretionary) hearing will get denied by the board, because their salary is paid by parking tickets.

I've been through the whole process a couple of times, and always got denied even though I was in the right. Yay bureaucracy.

I still get a good deal though, the couple of tickets I pay per year is less expensive than the $600+ parking pass. o_O

Can you take a pic each time you park there (where you got the ticket) and any signs that tell you to park there etc?

If they give you a fine for parking where your supposed to, ask them to tell you where you can park now without getting a ticket - and get in writing.

Back down to colder weather again, it's around 40F. I'm hoping it warms up this weekend, but it looks like it won't too much. The forecast is 40-50F.

nah, the CBT lasts until may 2013 so ive got plenty of time to decide. I probably still wont though, ive no need for anything bigger than a 125, im never gonna carry a passenger or go on a motorway and the L plates dont bother me really. £100 every 2 years aint so bad.

I've got no desire to ride a bigger bike, I don't even know how to change gear on a bike. If I wanna go on a motorway id just take my car :)

Get your test done ya big puff.
If you has a full licence you can get a loan bike while yours is in for a service.
You does change gear on a bike like you does in a car but with the hand and foot swapped aboot.
It's really easy, just a p.i.t.a. in town traffic.

UK motorcycle test costs are £121.
That's providing you can train yourself or find someone who can train you for free.

Minimum wage?
Get a job as a bus driver.
Plenty companies take people on and train them from scratch, all you need is to have held a clean full car licence for a year.
It's pretty easy and once you have a PCV licence you'll always be able to get work.
Not only that, you get free public transport.
