Forza Vs PCX running costs

I'm trying to decide between another PCX or a Forza, being a tightwad I want to get the cheapest I imagine the PCX is cheaper to run... obviously it gets better MPG but am I'm right in thinking that the Forza has longer service intervals? do they cancel each other out or is the PCX still cheapest?

There is no need to have a dealer service on %99 of PCX's out there - only a small minority have any significant problems and that is covered by the sale of goods act in the UK. Much cheaper to do the basics yourself such as oil every service interval (more frequent now that on pre '17 models), and air filter, belt, etc when needed. The spark plug should last for years - no need to keep changing it despite costing less than £10 - it's perfectly good much longer than the manual suggests.

My PCX has done best part of 13K and ridden in all weathers all year round the past 3+ years - only changed the engine and final drive oil - nothing else so far but will need air filter / belt / clutch at some point (clutch due to slightly noisy bearings). Just had the 1st MOT - passed and still on both original tyres (IRC's - love em, no issues at all in wet or dry).

Saved myself best part of £1000 in dealer servicing + tax (1/3rd the cost of a new one!)

Maintenance is negligible , especially as stated above. Forza is a bigger , better bike, in most every way.

The Forza costs twice as much to begin with. It will likely cost twice as much to insure as well. Your main criteria should be how long you need to go how fast and how often do you need to carry a passenger. If you live in the mountains, the Forza would be the better bet.

A stock PCX will do about 65 miles per hour, but that is flat-out. Plan on 55 to 60 miles per hour maintained. I understand that a Forza will cruise at 70 miles per hour maintained. Lots more acceleration, if you carry a passenger.

Make sure you buy enough scooter, if you do out of town stuff a PCX simply isn't enough scooter to keep up with traffic.

Sorry, yes he will. The bike comfortably goes 55-60. When pushed, it'll go 65-68. Traffic on US expressways moves at 70-80 mph. (120-129 kph) That would leave the rider in the slow lane, where people are trying to merge through. Tailgating a fuel tanker truck or old person is the best you could hope for.

If you avoid expressways and take local highways, it can be a better experience, but it's best to be prepared for the reality that it will take a lot longer to get anywhere out of town.

A 125 will only do 60 flat out on flat ground but your point is correct - he will definitely be mobile roadblock on anything that's not a quiet side road or in town/the city.

To be honest if you have the money for a Forza you shouldn't even be asking the question IMO, just get one.

No you won't be a roadblock. People are quite able to overtake or drive on roads with more than one lane.

Did you mean "may" be a roadblock? Then I'd agree but it would be seldom.
