Help - 2018 PCX Quits at Stops

Post by philly beamen »

2018 pcx with 1900 miles on it and it started killing on me at every stop. Brought to honda and they said it was the gas and flushed it out. I picked it up and it was fine on the way home and the way to work the next morning but stared killing again on the way home. I called them and am going to bring it back in but was just wondering if anyone has had this problem or knows what it might be. Seems way to new to start doing this. Thanks for any help.

There was a spate of this a while back on Honda scooters, I think it was the SH300..?
If I remember rightly there was a recall for it and the cure was a revised ECU.
In the meantime get the dealer to check your throttle free play and idle rpm.
The twist grip should have some slack in it before it starts to pull on the cable.

If it persists change the spark plug. Then check the tappet clearance.

Have the valves been adjusted at the 600 mile service?

Take it to the dealer and have them sort it under warranty, its most likely to be iidling speed and/or throttle set wrong or an ECU/fuelling issue.
