Wow, I'll never see that again ..?
It just darkened a little where I live. Still couldn't look into the sun. . .like I shouldn't anyways. . .but you get the idea. No sense of an eclipse. . .just a little darker than usual. Seems to be returning to normal and life goes on.

BTW I've got one of those Domestic Short Haired Tuxedo cats! Say's "Hello" to me all the time. LOL!!!

Great cat. . .gets a little weird on a Full Moon though. When he walks across the top of my flat panel TV he looks at me like "Get the hell out of your chair or I'll keep doing this as long as I want".   8)

About the same for me. If I didn't know in advance, I wouldn't have guessed. The sun was about 75% blocked where I was.

Apparently a 90% eclipse is not enough... If you didn't know something was happening you would have missed it. I won't fall for that banana again unless it's 100% blocked overhead.
Homie - Thanks for the video. I've got a "Trash Mountain" in my town also. Great view! You'd never know it the way it looks now. . ..

Kitty cats,... ain't they something? :P good one easyr!

Appreciate all your input and vids homie. What about that box you made, did it work?
I was a bit disappointed looking through that (excuse me)...dumbass index card thingy I punched a hole in. Stupid. It didn't work. And my Dad's idea didn't either. Is it me? I even tried crossing my fingers as demoed online and that failed too. Geez.
But then I arrived at the nursing home and there were employees standing outside looking up through those "special" eclipse glasses. I knew them all so I asked to take a look. Btw, it was eclipse peak time at that point, and Holy Smoker's it was a sight to see!! Clear skies and an easy to see eclipse @ 72% black and 30% burnt orange. The humidity left, the temp dropped about 10? degrees and a slight breeze was felt (not felt prior to eclipse). Then in less than 2 mins, all that changed. So quickly.
It stayed with me for awhile and as I helped my Mom we talked about it and eclipses that occurred in the past.
Yes, it is amazing how we take everything for granted. In a heartbeat....poof! Things could change. Keep praying (if you pray) if not, then be thankful. I am.

Well, it's been fun folks and thanks again homie for making this the "topic" of the day ;)

Yes it would seem the glasses would have been useful with the overcast and certainly if they were of quality in full sun. I saw people wearing welding helmets and other contraptions. All box builds were of no use because of overcast. Glad you got some of the action WN 8)

Hey Whitenoise,
Wheels, man! He needs wheels on that contraption! He has everything else! (OK, maybe a steering wheel too.)
Just follow the sun, man. Just follow the sun.
