No doubt that it makes life a little easier, but if you don't exercise your back you won't be putting anything on or picking anything up soon enough. I am 70 years old, and have had 6 back surgeries and I still put my own socks on. In fact, if it is that hard to put your socks on, try bending your knees. Sit on the bed, put your heel on the side frame, and just do it. What's next, automatic dressing and Undressing?!
I have a neighbor who is at least 5 years younger than I am and he doesn't wear socks because they are just too hard for him to put on...but then he doesn't put his shoes all the way on either, and he wears them like flip flops. Talk about lazy!

On one hand I think it's a blessing for disabled people but on the other hand somehow I feel we are reaching a whole new level of something I can't find the words to describe. What the hey....

I'll tell you who can use that thing. . .no. . .on second thought. . .I don't want to start any negativity. Cue the Chili Cheese Dogs and Onion Rings please. . .and another 40 oz. bottle o'brew. :o

I struggle to get my socks on when my back is playing up. It's not very pleasant.

Lookie there! Socks-on gadgets have come along.
I'm familiar with the idea. Here's the one me Mom uses (well...use to use :( ) Nursing home fits them on her now.
She swore by that piece of plastic n cord. Works.

(Sing it) "It's so easy when you use Sock-it!" :D
