T-Shirts?

Post by EddieC »

So... I'm always trying to think of ways to supplement my income in this harsh economy... and I thought of getting back into screen printing. I was thinking I would try to make a craigslist business out of it and see how it goes locally, and then explore making (or having someone help me make) a website to be able to sell and ship. Looks like I can get most sizes of mens and womens T-Shirts for about $2-$3 a pop. I would probably charge $10-$15 to make the design. and anywhere between $8 and $15 bucks per shirt depending on quantity.

What do you guys think? Anyone want a PCX shirt?

Sure, do you have any designs yet?

I have a vector graphic I made that you could use, it looks like this:

It's the same one that Kapang! is using to make bumper stickers with. It's unlicensed, and free for anyone to use freely. :)

$15 for a t-shirt of decent quality is very reasonable. I'd see if there was much more interest before putting any time into it though.

thats a perfect image dave! I should be able to make that fairly easily... just the fine lines will be difficult. If anyone else has designs you would be interested in let me know here! I might start making shirts again even if no one really wants a PCX shirt. I think I could get enough business doing other things to make it worth my while... Still trying to feel out the interest though before I jump on ordering all the supplies again. My old screen got lost in a move along with a few other boxes... so the main thing holding me back right now is the initial cost.

Haha! I think I would have to look twice if I saw someone wearing one. My concern is with the "blood". With screen printing, its either all or nothing when it comes to getting ink on the shirt. When it comes to the blood, I think I see 3 shades. This shirt would require 3-4 stencils to make....

I could, however make the white shirt that says "I'm fine" as a template, and you could mess around with methods of making the "blood"

   That shirt's hilarious. It'd be awesome to ride around wearing that, everyone would double-take, thinking you were about to bleed out.

It gets hot here...

I really should wear gear all the time, but sadly, I don't. At least I wear a good helmet.

I have a mesh jacket for the summer. Really isn't that bad if ur moving along, but I will admit to only wearing a t shirt for destinations that are less than a mile away during the summer. Not the smartest =)
