Don't forget that changing the tension on the flux shifter module can also reap dividends.

Doesn't come any more nonsensical than trying to "tune" a 125 auto scooter.
A pathetic waste of time, money and effort.

I'm serious. Go! Shoo! If you have nothing real to contribute to a discussion, just stay out of it.

Youre so serious. I requested info on another persons post. What only you can post the exact same topics on multiple web sites now? Who made you the internet Buddha?

That is why we are testing everything. And posting. So that others can benefit from our efforts without having to go through all the bother.

But without proper measurement it's all utterly pointless.
Unless porperly documented facts can be presented no-one will benefit, least of all the poor souls like yourself lost in the alternative reality tinkering vortex.

gn2's first rule of performance modification threads: plenty of noise, very little fact
Spot on comment for most mod threads regarding the PCX. From all the searching I have done there is surprisingly very little Fact on performance mods for the PCX, mostly variator swaps. Comes with the territory (PCX seen as an economical bike etc - that is not for this thread please). There was very little research on cheaper upgrades (ie just swapping roller weights, using sliders) that I have seen with other scooters.

I made assumptions on what information was available when I purchased a set of sliders and a spring, hardly a large investment - and started this thread to at least help others. Wanted to try sliders as there is conflicting information on speed increases with the stock variator - I've only seen a small difference 1-2 km/h unfortunately (shame as they are a quality product). Additionally wanted to see the effect of an up-rated conta spring - much greater than expected.

By testing each component I now have an impression and feel I'm in a better position to get a balanced system based on my needs. Still needs more time and effort so hence testing over guess work.

Hi Nobody
Please dont let gn2 put you off your tinkering, its fun reading about your experiances.
Its all about having fun at the end of the day, and who knows, you just might discover something that others have missed.

What's wrong with that comment?
Performance modifications need to be carried out methodically, properly measured and the results accurately recorded, otherwise they are pointless.
I have yet to see any such proper testing documented here or elsewhere.
The person to whom the comment was aimed doesn't even understand the properties of the "performance" products he buys nevermind adequately documenting any effects.

How the is this not being provocative? I appreciate good contributions to this thread, but the remarks like these are the whole reason this thread is being moderated now.

Most of the time, even though you can come off as terse, your discussions add to the the conversation. I'm disappointed, I expect better from you, GN2. Do you want me to remove access to this subforum to take away the temptation to mock everyone in here?

No nitrous or calculations are needed. PCX150 owner's only need to use all of they pulley the bike came with to get a higher top speed and lower, high speed cruise rpms. I think we can do this for $40 with some modified sliders.
