What is your cage?

What do you drive when you're not on the PCX?

I usually drive my 1998 CR-V, but I also have a Honda Pilot. Here's the CR-V:

Currently my PCX is my only mode of transport, thanks to some moron pulling out of a side road in front of me and then my insurance getting REALLY messy. When i buy a new car, ill update. Could be a while though.

Family car is currently a Vauxhall Zafira 2.0 DTi. Basically a mini bus/Van with "flex 7" fitted.

It does my wife perfectly, while I restrict myself to passenger duties or travel on 2 wheels. :)
it tastes like...Eagle!

I'l have to take some pictures sometime, but they're nothing special. I have a 1998 Toyota Corolla that I almost never use and my wife has a 2007 Nissan Versa. The Versa is a surprisingly great car. Lots of leg and head room and a decent amount of cargo space with the back seats folded down. Will be looking to sell my Corolla eventually to replace it with a much more functional small truck. I like to do diy projects and it's a pain in the butt getting lumber into a car... Especially 4x8 plywood...

I could never be without a car as sometimes the weather is total crap or i need the use of something that can carry far more than the scoot can. Wifey drives a bmw 120d se which is pretty good on power and petrol while the 2nd car for my use is a vauxhall corsa 1.4 se auto as i can not change gear since smashing my elbow so had to switch to an auto. I actually really like the corsa as it has a whole bunch of things like leather heated seats and heated steering wheel etc :) though is a far cry from the bmw 325 auto or toyota supra auto i used to own!

Bought it when I was 15 as a result of someone hitting me with their car and breaking my arm while I was sitting on a bus stop bench waiting to take.. the bus... It had 11,000 miles on it and cost 10,000 flat. Cherry. The dent in the bumper was from someone hitting my car while I was on vacation in the airport parking lot 5 years later.. Never fixed it because it was cosmetic... You can see part of my old SV too! Sold the CRV for 5 grand with 105,000 miles on it. So many memories.
Image

I had to sell old faithful when my girlfriend crashed her car. She didnt have full coverage  so it was a total loss. She bought it 3 weeks before she totaled it for $5,000 and we sold it for $1200 for parts. My CRV was a stick, and this was her.. 3rd or 4th?.. accident. She agreed with me that it wasnt the best idea for her to learn to drive a stick shift in LA, so we sold it and we bought an automatic 2002 Toyota Tacoma 4X4. I wanted the truck to be able to take any 2 wheel contraption with me, and for the fact that its very easy to get side jobs helping people move across town in Los Angeles. Happy with the truck. Bought it for $6000 with 90,000 miles on it. Only bad thing is that after another 10,000 miles... the truck needs a new or rebuilt differential... Cars suck... theres no way the owner knew that so I don't blame them. They were a really nice couple. The truck has pretty much become my girls... seeing that the only other vehicle we own now is the PCX, and I take that every day =]

Image

And having only the truck and the PCX at our apartment works out well.. because we only have one spot, and the parking on the street has a 2 hour limit.

I have this which I drive everywhere.

Image

I have my project Nissan mini truck I prob wont ever finish.

Image

And I have my "used to be pride & joy now its just sitting collecting dust waiting for me to finish it" car.

Image

Image

Atleast I can look at it in print when I feel like it so I get more depressed over not finishing it again.

Image

I sold this one to fund my business and actually dont regret it one bit.

Image

Used to be a big car nut,now I dont care much for spending $ on them.

Your S2000 is amazing.

Why weren't you sad to sell the NSX? There was a time where I would have given a kidney for one.

I like my s2000 way better.Even though I had several hardtops,I enjoy riding roof down with the gf.NSX is available in targa but its not the same. The s2k interior is minimalistic but I really like it especially how I had mine setup.Stock steering wheel is great and that car has 1 of the best shifting transmissions ever.Handling wise it way out did the nsx if you ask me and it should since well it is newer/more compact.

-The inside of NSX is really dated,Honda never really changed anything except for the 02+ facelift and small tail light change.
-Parts for it are expensive! Im talking about $1k and up for any bumper or side skirts.Kinda doesnt make sense cause I have an expensive ass kit for my s2000 laying around but you get the point.
-To do the clutch the whole driver rear side wheel everything has to come off to reach the clutch.
-Stock parts are sooooo hard to find.A used bare motor will start at $4k and up -IF- you find one.Just buy a new block? Yeah for $20,000.

Those are just some of the reasons I like the s2000 better. The nsx LOOKS great for its age no doubt. If i did get another one it def would be a 2002+ model but I dont see myself paying $50k or so for it.

Oh and I was also not sad cause I enjoy my work now.It pays wayyyy less than what I was doing before but I like it.I'll wait till the gf finishes getting her PHD before I hop into another nice ride and she can pitch in the fund.I told her I want a Gallardo or bust! The funny part is she said ok aslong as its white and drop top.Goodness I love that girl! Shes learned well from me.

That all makes sense. The NSX is an exotic at this point, so everything is stupid expensive, whereas the S2000 is much cheaper. I'm surprised the S2000 handles better considering the NSX is a midengine car.

Your girl sounds like quite the keeper. I'm jealous. My wife won't even let me get an MR2, let alone even consider dreaming about a Gallardo.

Haha.I actually prefer the Gallardo over many other more expensive cars.If I had veyron money I would buy a Gallardo and live in a modest home and then still have a bunch of money left over.Probably to add to my dog collection.

If we can use the money however we want, I'd get a mid-90's MR2, buy a decent house, and retire a decade or so early.

So many cars/trucks and so little time. I love cars/trucks/bikes/scoots....."wheels"(period.) Here's the one I have now. I usually have two vehicles at a time but sold my 1988 Cougar LS to a collector from Michigan who flew into Orlando FL, met me and then drove it back home. He called me twice on the way back to thank me for keeping the car so nice for HIM  Anyways...(sniffles) heres me truck, with some add-ons :D

Dude... Awesome truck... That first pic is amazing. How much does an FJ outfitted like yours cost? I'd imagine it's quite costly...
