Greg, you may be familiar or know of The Villages in Central Florida (just outside of Orlando), their retirement community is HUGE and alot of their golfer's own customized Carts. I was going to post a photo but this video Really shows what I'm talking about.

Watch it to the end. Can you pick a favorite? These Golf Carts are NOT "Par for the Course" :D

A 2011 video:

Thanks wn - yes that place is huge - it's in the news a lot down here for the crazy sex habits of the retirees that live there - Google it and you'll find plenty of articles. As for the carts, the yellow one with flames in the video is awesome but I think I still like the blue one above the best so far. I figure when I get too old to ride on 2 wheels I'll need something like that to tool around in :D

Yeah golf carts can be very dangerous - a couple of ladies got killed in The Villages about 4 months ago when they got hit by a cager. Link to article:

I don't think I could afford to live there. $20,000 for a golf cart?? Must be nice to be able to waste money.

The Villages, yes they have been a topic of conversation in Florida and beyond that! It has Everything going on there. Truly. You name it. Even Polo. Anywho...
I almost moved there back in 1998, but decided to build a home instead just 2hours southwest of there. I should've given it a chance. The place can keep you super active...burn those calories babe!
It's odd that we're discussing this now (well, it is to me anyway)...my sis and husband just closed on their Villa the other day in the Villages. They are Right this minute driving back to their home on L.I. With a van full of "stuff!"
She has told me and showed me video's of that "Wild and Crazy" adult playground. It's...
"Party All the Time, Party All the Time".......at Anytime!

On another note, a few years back while living in Florida, I sold my 1988 Merc Cougar to a guy from Michigan. I met him in the Villages to do the deal. He drove it back home from there and called me along the way. Thanking me for such a lovely car. Gosh I still miss it! Twas Light Sandlewood (think champagne) with a dark chocolate Rag roof. Sexy!! (Oh yeah...I put glass packs on her, she turned heads!)

'88 Cougar? Those were very nice as I recall! Did it have the 5.0 engine? Here's a pic of my old '70 Cougar - it was bone stock when I bought it from the original owner with only about 45,000 miles on it. I added the '69/'70 Shelby wheels and a Flowmaster exhaust - I wish I still had it - 'twas the last year with the hidden headlights - it was Bright Blue Metallic with white top and blue interior and had the 351 Cleveland V8. I even bought a vintage '70/'71 FL license plate for it on eBay which came in matching blue that year (apparently back then you got a new plate each year in a different color before the advent of yearly stickers). I sold it after about 5 years so I could buy a more "practical" convertible, an MR2 Spyder - probably the dumbest automotive decision of my life :D

Okay, now that we have hijacked this thread and are talking about Cougars with Greg (the originator of the thread) joining in, here's the Cougar I had back in the day. It was a '72 XR7. The picture was taken in about '79 when I owned it.
