Way to go. I never like to go out in bad weather. Right now it gets up over 100 here and you feel like your in a pressure cooker. Trying to ride with the right gear on is impossible.

Good gear goes a long way. I have a great rainsuitand never hesitate to use it, it always keeps me dry on any bike. ;)

I hate getting wet too, but I'm more afraid of slippery roads in the rain.

Last Saturday I took a 250 mile ride with off and on rain.
2013 PCX 150
Givi tall windshield
FirstGear mesh jacket with wind/waterproof underjacket
Flying Bikes leather overpants
Generic gloves
Galls comp toe boots
Arai Profile helmet
No problems EXCEPT I had to pull over every now and then and wipe the windshield because I look through it, not over it. Even with having to do that, I still like the tall Givi much better than the stock shield or the short Givi.

Yep, this is my "main issue" with Tall Windshields. Here in Tennessee, and especially the Mountains, we sometimes start out in the 50s or so, then warming into the 90s...Condensation and Fog covers the windshield making visibility impossible...even worse in Fall and Winter sometimes with a thin ice coating and Condensation. I use Fog Free Shields on all my Helmets, so none of it ever affects me.... ;) 8)

Apologies maddiedog for posting this in the "Cage Forum", but except for about 20 or so days per year ( Ice-n-Snow), Scooters are my Daily "Cage"..... ;)

I don't mind, I think this is on-topic enough. ;)

I commute all weathers and embrace the rain as you use more skills and caution then. Only thing that makes me take my cage to work is winds over 40mph as I go over a mile long bridge and you can really get knocked around. Its OK if the wind is behind you but if its from ahead or perpendicular its not pleasant, especially as its usually gusty winds here, not a steady wind. That's why I love sailing :)
