Sold* the one on the left to buy the one on the right.
As you can see, the red one is a more substantial ride than the little gray 400. (more fun, anyway)

And once again we went to Starbucks to get coffee and once again we had to compete against these for parking spaces...

...and then there are the Mercedes, which are everywhere, and recently a new Lamborghini showed up there as well. What's with fancy cars and Starbucks??!!

Park a Tesla P100D there and challenge them to a drag race when they come out ... watch them go pale and make up some excuse :D

There are at least 100 Tesla coupes in this area, and more are showing up monthly. Only within the last two months have the smaller ones, S60??, started appearing. Of course, these fancy cars have to show up some time. We have $1+ million subdivisions being built right down the street, and multi-million dollar homes already occupied close by. We are being quietly pushed out of our area. We are on a fixed income.

Well just remember Mel - we ride PCX's - so it still sucks to be them!

We need a big sticker that says " It gets 100 mpg and still does 65 mph. Does yours?"

Great pictures Fish. Some of them look worthy enough to be used in an advertising brochure.

It's all about "Conspicuous Consumption". Perhaps in some way brought about by the nesting urge. Case in point the "Bower Bird". :o

But here's a more clear meaning on a human level. :geek:

When you think about it all it's actually humorous.

The PCX grins to it all in defiance. ;)  8)

Took my wife's pcx out for a short ride today. It sputtered for a little while because it has been sitting, but then it straightened out and ran beautifully. I forgot how nice it handles. I parked it beside the entrance door at Target, all by itself. It didn't bother anyone and just sat there enjoying the sun until I was done in the store. Then we went for a neighborhood ride, up one street, around on another, over to the other side, and so on. The neighborhood is huge, so the ride was enjoyable. I would have loved to open her up but max speed in the neighborhood is 30 mph, and the main road has a 45 mph limit.
But it was a nice ride anyway. Then I took HIM home (my wife just reminded me that her bike is a Him and mine is a Her) and washed him.

Congrats on the new Piaggio, fish. I hope it meets your expectations. I think speed and storage space will suffer, compared to the Burgman.

The Piaggios are great-looking scooters. I very nearly bought the used BV350 instead of the Silver Wing, but the storage space advantage and ABS of the Silver Wing were insurmountable advantages. Believe it or not, the BV was quicker, even with one less cylinder and being down 250cc in displacement. But the Silver Wing is more maneuverable (smaller wheels) and better on the bumpy road. (muffler and engine are not sprung)

How's the larger/heavier Silver Wing engine being not sprung help it be more maneuverable ...... not challenging you - just wondering. Isn't the goal usually to reduce unsprung weight so the suspension can be more responsive to road conditions?

Well, unsprung or not, heavy bikes absorb the irregularities. ....except for the 650 Burg....owners complain about the rough ride of that monster for some reason
