Some fine racing...
"EBRs were doing very well in Australia and China wining poles and races. The series raced nearly stock bikes. They compete against 1K Yamaha's, Honda's, Suzuki's, Kawasaki's, and the Ducati 1199 twin and beat them on a regular basis. In world superbike, they did not have the resources to win. There budget was low. The big manufacturers were putting over $40K into each engine and cranking out 260HP."
And then Erik Buell when out of business... again

Re: Some fine racing...
I just received an email in which it was mentioned that Harley-Davidson is in negotiations to purchase Ducati. I just can't see why. They tried with the Buell and failed. Now they want to try with the Ducati??

But as George Carlin would say "it's always somethin". . .here's what's going on behind the scenes that you don't readily see published in the daily news. I wonder why?

Excellent journalistic research Mel. . .that really gets to the point. I totally didn't think of that Audi/VW diesel situation being linked to a possible sale of Ducati. They are indeed a different kind of iron horse compared to the HD bikes. That being said Harley's business deals with the Italian marques has a long history.http://www.bikebandit.com/blog/post/har ... buy-ducati

Time to go back and watch some more Eddie Lawson style road racing as depicted above.
