Well, it's a bicycle and not a scooter or motorcycle, but the price would be right (if we could get it).

"Electric Spec's: 60 mph, 50-80 miles per charge, 2000 watt brushless variable speed motor, 72 volts Batteries are good for up to 400 charges- thats equal to 30,000+ miles. It cost less than 10 cents to charge."

But $2000.00 to replace batteries so this bike has an expiration date of 30K and much, much less if the batteries get wet o_O Just keep that in mind when you buy electric. Former Segway owner here, been there done that :D

Fact... new batteries cost more than the seller is asking for the entire bike  bet he's going back to gasoline

No free lunch with battery powered vehicles in the long run. You will pay with a new vehicle or batteries in the end. People with solar panels are also learning this as replacement expenses and labor catch up over time.

$1400 is a cheap price for the motor, wheels, rolling chassis even it comes with a throw away lead battery that doesn't make that spec for those of us that have/ can make our own Li packs. I wonder if it will really do 60 mph and does it come with a USA VIN?

KTM FreeRide E (Electric/Enduro)
Coming to the U.S. - $8299
A PILOT PROGRAM ONLY - as an experiment judging upon consumer interest.
11 United States dealerships will have them and the training to svc them - The Sad news 1/2 of them will be in Southern California

Ah well, we can watch. It Looks Like a Hoot to Ride! :D
(But, how about that unfamiliar noise? Will it get annoying? Might be fine because you can only ride an hour then you charge her up in 50 minutes to get to 80%).

Kudos KTM. Only $1,000 more than the stinky, noisy two stroke gas version.

I love Zero bikes. I daren't take a test ride!

For most of the short journey stuff I do I would seriously consider a Vmoto scooter. The price is very reasonable, ie getting there.

I took a test ride on a Zero SR. I would prefer a slightly lower and forwars bar but other than a different set of ergos, it didn't have any major flaws and I would buy one if it had body work ie BMW F800GT. And if it was $10,000.

Sort of agree with you. But I kind of need a bike Tesla. I am weak and male.
