I picked up this:
I talked him down to $1000. I used to trail ride all the time when I was a kid, and wanted to start riding again, so I got this. It has nothing wrong with it whatsoever, aside from a leaky gasket on the clutch. The bike is amazingly torquey for a 125... It's hard to believe it is the same displacement as the PCX. I guess that's a 2-stroke vs a 4-stroke though.
The first time I rode it, I didn't shift too gracefully into 2nd and accidentally did a wheelie. It was awesome.

Re: New toy!
Sweet ride. Congrats on the new addition.
I know what you mean about it popping the front wheel up, I had a go on a mates super moto'd 125, it's harder to keep the front wheel down than up!

Theres a guy in my street that has the same bike, you can hear it coming a mile away
I just love the look of dirt bikes though, if i wasnt so lazy to change gears, id probably have got one over the pcx.

Re: New toy!
Oh yeah, the pipe on this thing makes it sound much nicer though. The stock pipe is WAY loud, the pro circuit pipe on there (which is worth more than what I paid for the bike) makes it much quieter and much faster.
I'm used to riding 4-strokes, so riding a 2-stroke will be an interesting change for me. I hope I don't foul too many plugs from treating it too gingerly.

Re: New toy!
i had a honda x8rs before the PCX, i got it for £400 on gumtree. spent about £300 on parts like new exhaust, tyres, cabling and dash.. then the engine failed
now its in the garage collecting dust, i just want £100 for it as it is. it needs a new piston and piston head unit which would be another £200-£300 job

Re: New toy!
Why not just do the top end rebuild yourself? It's really easy on a dirt bike...
